The binding shows some rubbing and wear but is sill fairly sound. The inner hinges are holding but this is a heavy work in which the inner hinges easily go. An early label not a full bookplate on the front pastedown bears the name "Rev. F. V. Norcross". Text is toned but clean. Contains 16 full page plates a few with two images per plate. A succession of owners have left their mark: the botany section has red or black underlining of many names and the addition of common names further names have been added throughout the topography section and one pressed specimen has left a page impression.
