Fuller former librarian of St. Paul's Cathedral and author of 'The Minor Corporations of the Secular Cathedrals.with Special Reference to the Minor Canons of St Paul's Cathedral'. Dated 1961. Handsomely bound in half morocco with the gilt crest of St. Paul's Cathedral to the front board. Externally very smart with some minor rubbing to the spine. Previous owner's ink inscription to the verso of the front free-endpaper. Internally front hinge lightly strained but remaining binding is firm. Perosa and Sparrow present an uninterrupted and varied selection of writings that span the 14th to the 16th Century and across Europe. This title was published in 1979 the year of death of Richard William Hunt whose bookplate can be found to the front pastedown. Hunt was a medieval scholar paleographer and author who was employed in the Bodleian Library as Keeper of the Western Manuscripts and shared this book's investment in the preservation of ancient and historical languages. Still in its original dust wrapper clipped with minor shelf wear. Bound in blue cloth with original clipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart. Bookplate to front paste down.
