First edition in this format of Thorne's 1911 novel published in the Readers Library Illustrated film series capitalizing on the A. W. and F. Production based in part on the novel's dramatization by Edward G. Hemmerde and Francis Nielson. The title page associates Lili Damita with the cast but the 1915 film version directed by Maurice Tourneur predates her film career. IMDB records no further adaptations of the novel nor is she credited with a film under this title -- it may refer to a lost film.
