Opportunamente inquadrata, può diventare un raffinato oggetto d'arredamento.

Arguably the finest work of the two pioneers of wildlife photography. Cherry Kearton's photographs are perfectly complemented by brother Richard's text. 'It is confidently believed that the work will form the finest gallery of sun pictures of wild birds and beasts, taken amidst their natural surroundings, ever published in this or any other country' (Preface). To this day, the Royal Geographical Society's Kearton Medal is awarded for outstanding work in the field of natural history. Uncommon in this condition.

This seminal work, a true classic of modern ornithology, first appeared as a paper in the Second Annual Report of the [then] Severn Wildfowl Trust, 1948-49. It was first printed separately in 1950; this second impression with important revisions appeared in the following year. An edition with coloured plates was published in 1957
