Contents clean and tight inscription in ink to the top of the half title dated 1904 original end-papers toned and a little brittle around the edges slight spotting to title page and the odd page edge some rusting to staples running down the spine of the first few gathers plates clean. A very good copy. The plates used in different editions of this work are not standard and vary in quality this particular edition includes plates printed to a high standard and importantly the eggs are illustrated with shadows giving a particularly 3-dimensional look: they are in our opinion superior to some earlier editions.
