Contents clean and tight patterned endpapers original endpaper tipped in with James Fisher's signature and an inscription " from F. B. Whitlock Beeston Notts england 11 Dec. 1893" otherwise unmarked. A clean very good first edition. The Author Whitlock was convicted of embezzlement and sentenced to 11 years in prison. Loosely inserted is a facsimile of the £100 reward poster.
