Under passe partout sealed into this from behind and under glass in a wooden frame with a little handling only. The water colour is in very good condition and clearly signed. There is a touch of paint remnant to the top right edge. An attractive portrait of a dancing nude. The frame is 67cm x 51cm. Odilon Roche 1868–1947 was a French artist renowned for his work as a watercolourist draftsman and painter. Roche's work included water colours wash paintings and drawings often characterised by delicate and detailed execution. In addition to his artistic pursuits Roche had a multifaceted career. He worked as a wine taster colour merchant and antiquarian specialising in 18th-century and Persian art. His works include lithographs and signed pieces such as "Musiciennes antiques" and "Port Issol" which reflect his mastery of both pencil and watercolour techniques both of which he utilised in this piece. . Aquarelle sur dessin à la mine de plomb signée en bas à gauche. Bien qu'il ne soit pas daté ce dessin est très similaire aux œuvres datées de 1930-1935. Surface visible 455 cm x 30 cm. Sous passe partout et sous verre dans un cadre en bois avec quelques manipulations seulement. L'aquarelle est en très bon état et clairement signée. Il y a un reste de peinture sur le bord supérieur droit. Il s'agit d'un beau portrait d'un nu dansant. Le cadre mesure 67 cm x 51 cm. Odilon Roche 1868-1947 était un artiste français réputé pour son travail d'aquarelliste de dessinateur et de peintre. L'œuvre de Roche comprend des aquarelles des peintures au lavis et des dessins souvent caractérisés par une exécution délicate et détaillée. En plus de ses activités artistiques Roche a eu une carrière aux multiples facettes. Il a travaillé comme dégustateur de vin marchand de couleurs et antiquaire spécialisé dans l'art du XVIIIe siècle et l'art persan. Ses œuvres comprennent des lithographies et des pièces signées telles que "Musiciennes antiques" et "Port Issol" qui témoignent de sa maîtrise des techniques du crayon et de l'aquarelle qu'il a toutes deux utilisées dans cette œuvre.
