First edition of this very uncommon sales catalogue for the Iowa Bird Company a subsidiary of the Iowa Seed Company in Des Moines. Originally established by Page in 1903 the Iowa Bird Company quickly grew to be one of the largest suppliers of tropical fish goldfish aquariums aquarium supplies & decorations and tropical cage birds in the country. This catalogue features listings for Canaries Goldfinches Mocking birds Cuban Mexican & African Parrots as well as Cockatoos and Cockateels. Also featured are the combination bird cage and aquarium a small globe perched atop a lacquered ornamented bird cage parrot squirrel & mouse cages. In addition there are goldfish bowls fancy goldfish aquarium plants ornate and plain aquariums ranging up 10 gallons as well as castle decorations sea shells and more.
