124p. Frontis and full page illustrations by the author. Small 4to. Original full cloth binding. Inked inscription. First edition. Artist John Held, Jr. (1889-1958) created many of the cultural icons of the 1920s and '30's. It is due to him that the American Cultural mythology the 1920s conjures up images of bathtub gin, raccoon coats, and tall, impossibly thin, short-skirted "flappers." F. Scott Fitzgerald nicknamed the period "the Jazz Age" and wrote novels that chronicled the lifestyles of the young and fun-loving, but the era's most enduring visual images were created by John Held, Jr. Here he turns his satiric eye to dogs and their owners. **PRICE JUST REDUCED!
