Binding is solid and square, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. 95 pages, illustrated with color plates of the weavings with descriptions as to the symbols they contain, as well as color photographs of the Anatolian loomers in their native environs. milking, shearing sheep, doing fieldwork, dying the rugs, weaving methods, a brief entry on the maintenance and cleaning of the rugs.

Charles Lamb (1775-1834) was an English essayist, best known for his Essays of Elia and for the children's book 'Tales from Shakespeare' which he produced with his sister, Mary Lamb (1764-1847). This spine edge of this book's red cloth covers appear to have been wet at one point and so the cover has a darker red stain on the edge and the ink from the cover has transferred the back of the dust jacket which shows wear and tears.
