The frontispiece is by Finden after Wageman.

FIRST APPEARANCE IN EVERYMAN. The most elaborate of the four original binding styles, full leatherette was introduced at the commencement of the series and discontinued around 1919 (see Seymour pp.103). Due to the delicate nature of the material, really bright, crisp copies are now genuinely elusive. VERY SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION. EL 14; Seymour 604.0.
