The plates depict mainly fish and snails but also some mammals (including the endemic Hutia) and insects (Lepidoptera and Hymenoptera), all in volume 1. Volume 2 has more taxonomically important and well-illustrated papers on Mollusca and fishes. A smudge and fold to the front wrapper of volume I, otherwise a very good clean set. This is the 1975 Junk facsimile of this classic book, not a low quality recent print on demand book.
