Also known for his reformulation and popularization of the Titius-Bode law and credited with the discovery of Bode’s Galaxy Messier 81 NGC 3031. Bode was the director of the Berlin observatory the Astronomisches Rechen-Institut and he was elected member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and fellow of the Royal Society.<br /> <p>.
