Inscribed by author on half-title page to two women who provided her with technical information to write the story and also to their dog Pixie! Bottom corner clipped dj with price of $3.50 still intact has the words San Diego scratched out with Sante Fe written in with the same color ink as the author's inscription. Sante Fe is the location of the story so the author must have corrected the misprint! Condition of dustjacket - some chips out of front cover wear top and bottom of spine. Light soiling to back of dj. Brian moves to Sante Fe and his beloved dog is poisoned. He makes friends with a girl whose Mom works for a well-known local kennel. The sheriff gives Brian a wire fox terrier Frisky - then Frisky disappears! The children accompany Cindy's Mom to the big dog show in Denver where they find themselves up against a villian who will stop at nothing. Scarce in hardcover. Size: 8vo - Oblong.
