The League operated a free hospital and dispensary at 350 Lafayette Street New York which in 1920 handled ca. 9500 cases and surgeries on dogs cats horses and "miscellaneous." This is a report on their activities in 1920 balance sheet list of members many society folks here many local ads. Besides the hospital the League promoted or funded watering stations the protection of birds and small animals humane education for children dog and cat brigades which went around with collection boxes etc. Scarce.
