White Saddle was a real pony from the Shetland Islands. Born in 1903 she came to America from the Shetland Island. Ethel her husband Messenger and daughter Jane had a log cabin on a plot of land in Ohio. The pony won several awards at the Ohio State Fair. She died in 1940.
