The photographer Chuck Koosman first visited the Whale in 2001. David Ledie has fished the river for 18 years and chronicles the history of the camp and the changes in the salmon runs over the decades noting that the numbers of fish seen and caught came back dramatically when the Greenland and Newfoundland commercial salmon fisheries were bought out. <br/><br/>A beautiful production. Whale 1896-1957 born July 22 1896 Dudley England; died May 29 1957 Hollywood California; English actor set designer and then director; imported to Hollywood in 1930 to direct the screen version of his state success "Journey's End"; best remembered for his four stylish horror films "Frankenstein"; "The Old Dark House"; "The Invisible Man" and "The Bride of Frankenstein"; retired from film in early 1940's to pursue painting; drowned in his swimming pool under mysterious circumstances. 1st Edition.
