19712240121Luray VA: Shenandoah Natural History Association Inc. Bulletin No. 4 1971. 1st Edition . Hardcover. VG/Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. Also included with the book is a photograph which is a slight variation of the one owned by the National Park Service. Along with a note written by "Eddie R." claiming "This picture was taken at Rapidan VA on Sunday afternoon June 3 1930 while being a guest of Lou Henry and Herbert Hoover.". This issue with this note is that June 3 1930 actually fell on a Tuesday and the photo is also shown on page 101 of the book although there is no date listed under the photo. There's also an old Christmas card that was with this paperwork signed by Irma and Juan Savary. It is not clear how this plays in with the photo and Eddie's claim of being a guest but all of these pieces of ephemera were together inside the book so they will continue on to the next owner. Dust jacket shows scuffing and fading along with toning and small tears along the edges. Brown boards underneath are clean with no notable issues. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. There are no signatures or bookplates no library markings no handwriting no pages are torn or loose. Although the dust jacket looks worn and sunned the book itself does not appear to have been read much if any.

Shenandoah Natural History Association, Inc. (Bulletin No. 4) hardcover
