Die Nachdruckbände enthalten an Stelle der Porträttafeln gestochene Frontispize mit allegorischen Darstellungen. Ältere Teile oft in zeitgenössischen Leder- oder Halblederbänden, mit gold- manchmal auch schwarz geprägten Rückenschildchen und bzw. oder Rückenbeschriftung und Rückenverzierung, sowie marmorierten Einbanddeckeln und rot gefärbtem Schnitt, spätere meist in Papp- oder auch in Kalikoeinbänden. Etliche ältere Bände im Bund gelockert, einige Gelenke eingerissen. Sonst gut erhalten, Text und Tafeln ohne Gebrauchsspuren, wenige Bände mit Wurmgängen. Teilw. mit Besitzvermerken und Eignerstempeln auf Vorsatz- und Titelblättern. Die Oeconomische Encyclopädie in nahezu vollständiger Sammlung. Sie gilt heute als wichtigste deutschsprachige Quelle zu Wirtschaft und Technik der Zeit zwischen Aufklärung und Industrialisierung. Das Werk wurde von insgesamt sechs Autoren erarbeitet. Namensgeber und Verfasser der ersten 73 Bände war der Berliner Arzt Johann Georg Krünitz (1728-1796). Nach dessen Tod fortgesetzt wurde das Werk zuerst durch Friedrich Jakob Floerke, sowie von dessen Bruder Heinrich Gustav Floerke (1764-1835), die Bände 124-225 erarbeitete Johann Wilhelm David Korth (1783-1861), zum Teil unterstützt von Carl Otto Hoffmann (1812-1860), (der nach Korth Hauptautor der Teile ab 226 war) und Ludwig Kossarski (1810-1873). Für die einzelnen Artikel wurden nicht nur die, auf den frühen Titelblättern genannten Übersetzungen ?aus dem Französischen?, sondern auch kompetente Texte aus anderen Sprachen, sowie aktuelle wissenschaftliche Publikationen aus deutschsprachigen Gebieten genutzt. Lediglich 21 Bände (21. 23. 24. 26. 28. 48. 50. 56. 60. 69. 81. 100. 111. 115. 119. 122. 124. 126. 138. 158. 184) fehlen. Die Teile 1. 3-7. 10. 11. 27. 30. 37. 66-68. 72. 74. 77. 80. 82 liegen in zweiter Auflage, die Teile 43. 54. 57. 59. 64. 65. 71. 73. 84-86. 88. 96. 98. 99. 105. 108. 114. 118. 121. 125. 128 liegen als Brünner Nachdrucke durch J. G. Traßler vor. Gut erhaltene Bände, lediglich die gestochenen Porträttafeln der ersten beiden Teile und des Tl 106 fehlen, außerdem fehlt eine Kupfertafel aus Teil 8, je eine aus Teil 11 und 12, zwei Kupfertafeln aus Teil 17, zwei Kupfertafeln aus Teil 75, Frontispiz, Titelblatt und 18 Kupfertafeln aus dem 86, sowie Frontispiz, Titelblatt u. 3 Kupfertafeln aus dem 88. Teil, eine Kupfertafel aus Teil 106, zwei aus Teil 127, eine aus Teil 131, eine aus Teil 133 und eine aus Teil 144, sowie eine Kupfertafel aus Teil 149. Die in Teil 194 fehlende Tafel ist irrtümlich als zweite Tafel in Teil 195, die Tafeln des 16. und des 36. Teiles sind vertauscht eingebunden, Die Teile 188-241 wurden ohne Titelporträts (Bandpaten) veröffentlicht. Zusätzlich liegt der Nachdruck des 127.
