With 8pp publisher's catalogue (dated March 1856) bound in at end. This work is based on on a family holday on the Welsh side of the Bristol Channel in 1854. ' There is only the one edition, but there is a very late form of it in which the twenty-four plates are absent altogether' (F&W). THE PRESENT COPY IS AN APPARENTLY UNRECORDED VARIANT OF THIS ISSUE. It resembles F&W 68 but has the list of plates present and the sides and backstrip plain. The advertisements include a prospectus for 'British Sea Anemones' and ads for 'Marine Zoology', 'Devonshire Coast' , 'Aquarium' and others of the author's works.
