From the publisher: "This book brings together papers from a conference that took place in the city of L'Aquila 46 April 2019 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the earthquake that struck on 6 April 2009. Philosophers and scientists from diverse fields of research debated the problem that on 6 April 1922 divided Einstein and Bergson: the nature of time. For Einstein scientific time is the only time that matters and the only time we can rely on. Bergson however believes that scientific time is derived by abstraction even in the sense of extraction from a more fundamental time. The plurality of times envisaged by the theory of Relativity does not for him contradict the philosophical intuition of the existence of a single time. But how do things stand today What can we say about the relationship between the quantitative and qualitative dimensions of time in the light of contemporary science What do quantum mechanics biology and neuroscience teach us about the nature of time The essays collected here take up the question that pitted Einstein against Bergson science against philosophy in an attempt to reverse the outcome of their monologue in two voices with a multilogue in several voices. 201683759New York City : The Donald J. Trump for President Campaign 2016. Presumed one of a limited number of original media request tickets. Laminated card/ticket. As new. Approximately 7.375 inches by 4.25 inches. Printed on only one side. The right side has a bar code and number at the top. Below is a picture of Donald J. Trump and Mike Pence together. Below that are two images one is of the original Trump Pence logo and the other is one of both Trump and Pence standing behind the original logo. As Donald Trump announced his new running mate Indiana Gov. Mike Pence his campaign unveiled a new logo that immediately became the object of ridicule on social media and inspired oh-so-many sexually suggestive responses. The new Trump-Pence logo enmeshes the candidates' initials — TP — with the American flag sparking immediate references to toilet paper and other bathroom wit. As the day continued T The designers might have anticipated this before releasing into the wild a logo with one letter penetrating another. "I can see this being sold to them as a visual representation of two people working hand-in-hand" said Ethan Imboden vice president of creative at Frog Design. "My guess is that was the intention to represent them more in the form of a monogram bringing together a T and P as a partnership." Trump's campaign unveiled a modified version of its Trump-Pence logo after the original graphic drew a lot of unintended attention. During Trump's official introduction of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate the campaign adorned a fundraising email with a simple "TRUMP" atop a "PENCE". Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller told CNN "We have a number of logos. The final one won't be unveiled until the convention." Over at the New York Hilton Midtown 1335 Ave of the Americas only a few blocks from his Trump Tower the Donald J. Trump Victory Party opened its doors at 6:30 p.m. Trump and running mate Mike Pence are hosting an invite-only gathering for friends and supporters of the campaign a divergence to the GOP candidate's usually large rallies. Trump admitted on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning that he is "a little superstitious" something a Washington Post source cited as the reason behind the low-key event. Make America Great Again hats and pins encased in glass cases bookended the stage inside the Hilton ballroom which was decorated with country and state flags. The loudest and most sustained cheer of the night erupts when the event's cable network of choice Fox News announced Ohio for Trump. Random "USA! USA" cheers erupt intermittently. The crowd keeps cheering "President Trump!" as NYPD counterterrorism bureau cops increase their presence. MAGA hats are being handed out. from suitcases. It became a long night for both campaigns. Don Vasco who distinguished himself in the service of the Spanish Crown in Mexico proclaims his humility before the office of his charge never before entrusted to a military man and invokes education as an antidote to envy hate revenge and thoughts of theft lies and deception. He also challenges the need for capital punishment and other legal injustices. During his short-lived presidency over Granada's highest court the region enjoyed peace and a flowering of the arts which ended with Napoleon's invasion of Spain and the subsequent popular uprisings against the Spanish Crown.
