Anthony Gross was selected as the artist for the first illustrated edition of Galsworthy's dynastic classic, first published in the previous year. The colour plates, drawn by Gross in six colours, are printed by Cowell of Ipswich using their proprietary 'Plastocowell' technique. The elegant typography is by John Lewis.
