We don't know how good this book is but the author seems to have packed a lot into her life. According to her online obituary Colette Verger was a teenager when she served as a 2nd Lieutenant and courier in the Free French Intelligence Service during WWII. She married an American serviceman after the war had and raised six children got years of formal education from a high school equivalancy diplioma to a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin and was a Professor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature at Northern Illinois University when this book was published.
