La sentenza pose fine alla privativa giudiziale... Nella sera del 18 dic.1891 erano insieme ad altri Accedemici riuniti Battagli e Pulini nella sal del Teatro Varchi..." e prosegue fino al ricorso in Appello.

First Edition First Printing. <br /><br />Oblong Octavo 8 1/8 x 5 3/4 inches; 208 x 145 mm 75 5 pages in wrappers soft cover.<br /><br />A rare book of cartoons published by the Czech Communist Party newspaper Rudé právo. Antonin Pelc and Lev Haas drew the cartoons which are pro-Communist anti-Nazi anti-American and anti-Western alliance. Holobrádek a pseudonym supplied short verses to accompany each cartoon. <br /><br />The book appeared in 1947 a year before the Communist seizure of power in Czechoslovakia. Oddly the cover features a cartoon by Pelc that misspells the name of Klement Gottwald the Communist leader it shows only one "t" in Gottwald. A sign displayed in the cartoon reads translating from the Czech: "The construction of a two-year plan is carried out by Gotwald and others." <br /><br />That's a fair representation of the sometimes heavy-handed propaganda in the book which depicts American businessmen as fat money-grubbers and Joseph Stalin as a heroic figure who crushed the Nazis. <br /><br />That said all the cartoons are striking and show real artistic skill. Indeed the book is an excellent example of Eastern European propaganda in the early years of the Cold War. <b>Text entirely in Czech</b>. <br /><br />OCLC shows only two institutional holdings at the National Library of the Czech Republic and at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Memoria legale di una causa per una lite tra gli eddomadari e la collegiata di S.Giovanni Magg. scoppiata "..nel di 24 novembre dello scorso anno, mentre l'insigne Collegiata de' s. Ministri della chiesa cattedrale chiamati Eddomadarj, associava con la croce inalberata un cadavere che si dovea seppellire nella chiesa parrocchiale di S.Giovanni Maggiore, avvenne che dinanzi la porta di essa chiesa, si commise un attentato da un prete assiso della chiese suddetta... e da un altro che serviva da chierico... con istrappare la croce dall'asta, ov'era inalberata con pubblica e scandalosa irriverenza..."(p.4). L'oltraggio fu il culmine di una controversia che durava da lungo tempo e che portò alla causa, di cui questa è la memoria, divisa in 3 parti: Parte I: Si dimostra che la pretenzione della collegiata di S.Giovanni Magg. di dover gli eddomadarj della cattedrale, quando van disuniti da' canonici, cederle la preferenza, sia non solo mal fondata e illegale, ma strana e assurda (dove si dimostra che nella chiesa napoletana esistevano 2 vescovi, uno latino e uno greco); Parte II: Si dimostra che sia obbligo della collegiata di S.Giovanni Magg. di far entrare in quella chiesa l'insigne collegio degli eddomadarj colla croce inalberata come croce di chiesa cattedrale (dove si dimostra l' esistenza di 2 croci della cattedrale); Parte III:Si manifesta che l'attentato commesso nel 24 novembre debba soggiacere a quella emenda a cui il Fisco della Curia arciv. ha creduto dover soggiacere senza attendere alle pretese azioni pregiudiziali, che per difendere l'attentato si son volute industriosa-mente proporre.
