Book is in excellent condition. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. 463 pages with a few tissue covered illustrations. Chapters on: Indian customs and superstitions, Indian tribes of the far west, Utes and Apaches, Buffalo farming, Hunting and trapping, Brigham Young, Campaign against the Navahoes, A convention of grizzlies, etc.

Text foxed and age stained. 12mo. Original full orange cloth. Front board lettered in black. Spine decorated and lettered in black. Rear board embossed in blind. Binding stained and worn. The last page is advertisement for "Dr. Clark Johnson's Indian Blood Syrup." LOC W13

Extremities worn with slight loss at head of spine. Contemporary Science Series edited by Havelock Ellis. This interesting work includes extensive articles on: the Plains Indians; the Apaches; the Western Inoits of Alaska and the Arctic; as well as Natives of India and Bengal.
