Good only copy which while sound is rubbed slightly soiled and with creased throughout. An autobiography by Marcus J. "Scout" Younger later known as Bison-Bill presenting a detailed accounts of his transgressions and encounters with the law which begins in part: "Born in the land of the outlaws. on the 8th day of April 1874. on the great Mathies Ranch twenty-one miles southwest of San Antonio Texas. My father was foreman of the ranch and although my good mother named me Marcus J. as a tribute to the good physician. I was dubbed 'scout' by the first gang of cattle wranglers I ever got tied up with. ." He goes on to describe his exploits including the various gangs he was part of as well as noting his father was with of outlaw group the Younger Boys of Missouri his cousins were members of the Dalton Gang and the James Gang were friends of the family. This title is not recorded in Six-Guns and Saddle Leather but another title by Younger can be found Adams 2471. Rare. OCLC locates one copy at University of Tulsa. [Marcus J. Younger unknown

There is an ink stamp on the front cover that reads: "Proof Copy Complimentary" signed below: RE Mowan. "Limited Edition" is so stated on the copyright page. Illustrated throughout with line drawings and photographs. Bibliography. Index. From the Introductory Letter by James E. West: "This limited edition is being published in order that those in whose hands this volume is placed may give us the benefit of their constructive criticism and submit additional material which might be included in later and more complete editions." Note: We have seen a listing for the "Limited Edition" of this title described as being bound in "pictorial wraps."
