This a very good softcover copy of The 1st Great Western Teddy Bear Show & Gathering + the 2nd Great Western Teddy Bear Show & Gathering, with just light wear (paper-clip impression to the top edge of the cover of 1st show). Completely clean inside and out. The 1st Great Western Teddy Bear Show was held in 1983. The 2nd Great Western Teddy Bear Show was held in 1984. The theme of the 1st show was 'Mechanical Bears'. The theme of the 2nd show was 'An American Salute to Sieff'. Both volumes are illustrated in black & white, and have full lists of the exhibitors at each show. A few advertisements scattered through each catalog. Each catalog has an essay of several pages on its' theme by Bob Collins. 8" square, 36 & 60 pages. Scarce catalogs. Also tells the story of Canadian pioneers in general during the early 1900s. Details the genealogies of the author's families, principally the Lybargers and Laphams. A fascinating portrait of a woman who endured the tumultuous changes of the 20th century. Book
