Typically these are only found inbound additions and not in the original subscription format. Volume I has a dark stain on fore-edge of front cover while volume II has a white mark on fore-edge of front cover. Name of previous owner written on front free endpapers of both books. Light browning and foxing to fore-edges of pages. Some pencil marks in margins of text. Volume I has 337 pages with illustrations and footnotes. Volume II has 326 pages with illustrations foldout map footnotes and comprehensive index of both volumes.
