The book is bound in rubbed marbled boards with a cloth spine with library plates there is a crack between the gathers with a few detached leaves everything else is well bound in. The endpapers have the bookplates of The General Theological Seminary Library New York; the title leaf one leaf in the text and the final leaf have library stamps. There is some light browning throughout and a little light foxing in a few places. hardcover

For the first item there are four candidates - Roger Newdigate George Hay Francis Page and Charles Jenkinson - are arranged in columns down one side of the page whilst each college member classified as scholar fellow student chaplain and so on is listed on the left. Curiously it appears that each member gets two votes though some only use one. Each college is tallied and the final result is at the end Sir Roger Newdigate appears to have been elected. Half-bound with blue leather detail complementary coloured cloth boards with gilt detail to front and spine. General shelf and handling wear including scratches and wear to leather at edges spine and corners. Cloth element tanned minor blermishes. Pageblock has gilt detail to head; face and foot heavily tanned and foxed this leading into content where foxing is notable. Pages are well bound and despite foxing details of the voters and their vote for either The Right Hon. Robert Peel or Sir Robert Harry Inglis are clear.
