De Malezieu y a eu une grande part et aussi lui est-il communément attribué". L'ouvrage serait un bon résumé de la 'Géométrie de Port-Royal'. Bon exemplaire, bien relié à l'époque.

Fondée sur des principes de liberté et d'égalité et des méthodes éducatives ambitieuses et novatrices, cette école expérimentale était réservée aux orphelins des "défenseurs de la patrie" qui recevait une éducation générale, mais aussi sportive, artistique et professionnelle. L'ouvrage renferme le rapport fondateur de l’institution, des lettres de soutien de personnalités, le détail de l’organisation de la Société ainsi que le prospectus et la liste nominative des instituteurs.
