I do think that your mother's relatives are wanting in warm feeling to say the least of it but it is no use troubling ourselves about it. They are so warped up with themselves that they don't care for society it is too dull for them and they begrudge even a day or two. Your poor dear mother did not treat them like this but many a score of times used to trudge off alone to Pollys when she was scarcely able to do so and had to leave you to the mercy of a servant. When Polly always has a lot to take care of each other. You well have to look to outsiders rather than to them to seek for sympathy.<br/>It seems to me very unnatural but it is so and all the whining in the world won't alter it. It makes it very hard upon me I cannot see my way to ulterior otherwise as I have made my Bed I must lie upon it and I now feel how much I should like to be always with you. I am ____ ____ you yesterday struggling on was enough to make a heart of stone feel I now feel how much I love you and would do anything & everything to make your life more worth living. DUST JACKET: Some shelf wear; No frayed corners scuffing or scaring; Less than 2 centimeter crease on top back cover center edge; Faded dark teal spots on inside flap - text still visible; Small indent on bottom left corner of inside flap - too small to measure all text fully visible; Water damage can be seen on inside of DJ not outside at top and bottom spine to inside back cover - 6x1.5 inches. HARDCOVER: Light shelf wear; 1 Centimeter diagonal creasing at top corners of front and back cover boards - no bowing or bending; Light creasing to top and bottom spine from being pulled on and off shelf; Light water speckles on top page edges; Water damage can be seen on cover spine and back cover if examined closely - mostly on the top 6x1.5 inches; some lightening of the top coverboard edges due to water damage - no bowing or rippling; Back inside cover/Back Matter show 4x0.5 inch water damage at the top near the spine and 1x1 inch water damage at the bottom near the spine; Page 322 to Back Matter shows less than 1 centimeter to 1 inch of water damage near top spine - becomes smaller and more faded closer to page 322; All other pages are fully clean; Binding is very tight; No bowing or rippling. Overall this copy would be in very good Condition if it weren't for the water damage to the Dust Jacket inside back cover and outside cover.
