All of these works have been bound together and form Volume LVII of the Standard Novels library published by Richard Bentley. Including an engraved frontispiece and a vignette title page. Collated and complete.This was the personal copy of English writer and founding member of the Bloomsbury Group Lytton Strachey noted by his bookplate to the verso of the front free-endpaper. Strachey is most known for establishing a form of biography which uses psychological insight and sympathy along with irreverence to create a unique depiction of an individual's life. He was awarded the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for his biography of Queen Victoria 1921. In the original cloth binding.
