He was taken by the idea of spelling reform (as well as other forms of social change) and published, at his own expense this little quasi-magazine. In addition to topics relating to short-hand, spelling, pronounciation, and punctuation - this little magazine dealt with: Universal Suffrage; Economics; Science (especially Astronomy); Population Control; Land Reform; Voting Rights; and much more. Using data from the 1897 Imperial Russian Census, the author examines two types of migration: that to an already settled, relatively modern area, such as the major cities; and that to a sparsely populated, relatively traditional area, such as the agricultural frontier. Based upon the work of the Medical Research Council Unit for Research on Occupational Aspects of Ageing which was attached to the Department of Psychology at the University of Liverpool between 1959 and 1963. The study of ageing and of comparative function at given ages is of great practical concern and the analyses given here are the product of physical and psychological tests on 540 normal adult subjects from the population of Liverpool and its environs. One of the most useful contributions made by the present study is the compilation of a table of norms of the level of performance which can be expected from people of different ages.
