Dust jacket has lots of edge wear, chipping, open tear at top spine, general scuffing. 195 pages, heavily illustrated with b&w photos, a book of news from the town paper of Prosser, Washington and its people throughout the war. The paper reported on scrap drives, rationing, volunteer work, bond drives, a population boom, labor shortage, victory gardens, etc. The newspaper also carried news of Prosser servicemen who were stationed all overseas. From light humor to the tragic deaths of young men, the newspaper kept its readers informed. Previous owner's name on inside cover
