Dr. Sujata was a Research Fellow at The New York Presbyterian Hospital-Medical College of Cornell University. She was appointed Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Chair Professor at the young age of 36 years. She is a Visiting Faculty/Fellow at Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research, University of Delhi since 1997 and currently working as Research Scientist in the Department of Medicine, V.P. Chest Institute , University of Delhi. She is an eminent scientist and is recipient of DST Young Scientist Award and Award of Highest Honour of the Soka University, Japan.
