ABOUT THE BOOK:- The book offers learning of alternative medicines having widespread use, acceptance and also the rules and regulations that ensures their best uses as well. The use of herbal medicinal products and supplements has increased tremendously over the past three decades with not less than 80% of people worldwide relying on them for some part of primary healthcare. It has become essential, therefore, to furnish the general public including healthcare professionals with adequate information to facilitate better understanding of the risks associated with the use of these products and to ensure that all medicines are safe and of suitable quality. As an author, it is my heartiest believe that the book will adjoin significant apprehension to future research pharmacists and alternative medical practitioners as most of the text portion is created from the recently published books, newsletters and articles of different journals. ABOUT THE BOOK:- The book gives the author experience with fasting as well as many testimonies from letter he received from people who tried fasting and ended up with fantastic results. Results such as cures for a great number of diseases and ailments including cancer. Mr Sinclair gives general outlines for fasting but atleast that every person is biologically a little different and result vary from one person to the next. I must add that almost all results are positive and the negative results seems to be from people who did not fast correctly or came off the fast incorrectly. In coming off the fast one must be careful. This book has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. ABOUT THE AUTHOR:- Upton Sinclair (1878-1968) was born in Baltimore, an American author who wrote close to one hundred books in many generes. He achieved popularity in the first half of the twentieth century, acquiring particular fame for his classic muckraking novel, The Jungle (1906). To gather information for the novel, Sinclair spent seven weeks undercover working in the meat packing plants of Chicago. These direct experiences exposed the horrific conditions in the U.S. meat packing industry. Sinclair was extremely active in socialist politics throughout his life. His novel “Dragon's Teeth” on the rise of Nazisms won him the Pulitzer Prize. In 1967, a year before his death, Sinclair was invited to the white House by president Lyndon Johnson to witness the singing of the wholesome Meat Act of 1967, which expanded the earlier Meat Inspection Act of 1906. He died in Bound Brook, New Jersy.
