The postcards encompass the views from the gardens to Mt. Rainier the Alaska Monument 7 Hawaii Building Arctic Brotherhood Building Canadian Government Building the Emergency Hospital Building Machinery Hall Manufactures Building Forestry Building many of the States Buildings and courts. In addition there are views of the Japanese Building the “Tokio Cafe†leading to the Japanese Village Nanaimo Building and a number of nighttime shots of the Exposition. Four of the postcards depict the Siberian and Alaskan Indigenous peoples on display at the Exposition with images of baby’s in furs and Indigenous Peoples standing in front of A-Y-P pavilions. The printed photo postcard of the Daughters of the American Revolution Building at the A-Y-P includes note on verso addressed to Juanita Shelpman 1896-1974 at the time a daughter of a Port Angeles barber and later a music teacher in Vancouver WA later married to the rather flighty orchestra leader Lewis Kincheloe 1892-1978.
