020292New York: Andre Studios Publisher. Unbound. Good. no date but presumed circa 1960 if the numbers such as 7/11/60 are dates. Single sheets mostly thick paper stock measuring 8 ½ by 11 inches. All sketches in black and white presumably early reproductions meant for distribution to American clothing manufacturers. Andre Studio was founded and co-owned by Pearl Alexander Levy or Lipman depending on marriage status in 1930. She produced sketches of French couture fashion for the American clothing market and provided trend forecasting as a subscription service. She retired and sold the business in the late 1960s/early 1970s. With the exception of two drawings signed in facsimile Pearl Alexander Lipman all bear facsimile signatures of Pearl Alexander. Dates range from April to August with most of the designs being for coats. Ages range from infants to teen girls to women. All are in GOOD to VERY GOOD condition with varying amounts of minor soiling toning and edgewear. A few with minor creasing at the corners. Andre Studios, Publisher unknown
