Following this are several hundred blank pages however someone has hand written some personal accounts in ink on the first 59 pages. 8vo. Brown cloth stamped in gilt and blindstamped. Inscribed and signed on front flyleaf: "For Mrs. Oppenheim / Pearl S. Buck." Addtionally laid in are several pieces of ephemera and correspondence from the office of Laurent Oppenheim including two sheet of pencil notes on Plaza Hotel notepaper beginning with the mention of "Pearl Buck -Radio - Feb 20"; a mimeographed postcard announcing the opening of the Family Planning Center by the American Birth Control League at 701 Fifth Avenue; and an autograph note signed to Oppenheim from a Sheila Fry thanking her for an invitation to lunch at which she was to be introduced to Buck. Provenance: Inscribed to philanthropist Mrs. Laurent Oppenheim 1878-1955 née Amy Ruth Schwartz founder of the School Art League in New York City. John Day Company unknown
