Bailey then on tour in Boston with "Hello Dolly" was asked to provide the After-Dinner Program for this occasion because Johnny Cash was unable to perform. According to information posted online by the Ford Presidential Library Omar Sharif a guest at the dinner was brought on stage to join Bailey in singing "Easy to Love." Bailey was apparently much admired by the Sadats and had been given the First Order of Arts and Science of Egypt by President Sadat in 1974. unknown
