"Lanny" Baldwin was having an affair with Anais Nin when she published this book of poetry through her own press which operated from 1942-1947. Baldwin was on the receiving end of a well known scathing breakup letter which shows why she is remembered in the literary world and he is not. The engravings were done by Nin's husband.
