A prolific artist and printmaker his most famous works include <em>The Miseries of Human Life </em>1808 <em>The Tours of Dr. Syntax</em> 1812-21 <em>Microcosm of London</em> 1810 <em>The English Dance of Death</em> 1815 <em>Military Adventures of Johnny Newcome</em> 1815 <em>History of Johnny Quae Genus</em> 1822 <em>The English Spy</em> 1826 etc.</p><p>Both books scarce: <em>Advice to Sportsmen</em> held by the British Library and London University <em>Pleasures of Human Life</em> held held by the British Library King's College Cambridge Universities of London Manchester Nottingham Durham Southampton etc.</p><p>Bound in quarter green leather spine with raised bands gilt title on red leather label green marble boards rubbed book block solid. First book <em>Advice </em>with slight spotting and toning throughout 14 engraved plates with good dark impressions.
