The EXTREMELY RARE first edition of this collection of poems by Pons (in Catalan, with facing-page French translation). The frontispiece is an ORIGINAL LITHOGRAPH BY ARISTIDE MAILLOL (Guerin 319), likely the LAST LITHOGRAPH EXECUTED BY THE ARTIST. The book was printed in Barcelona (and that city figures on the title-page) but--doubtless because of the Spanish Civil War--was issued in Toulouse (as indicated by the front cover). Edition limited to 260 copies, of which this is one of 250 on Torres-Domenech wove paper. 8vo. Original wraps. UNCUT, FINE, AND BRIGHT. Very rare, especially in such pristine condition.
