About The Book -: From primitive times the term “Herbal Simple” has been applied to any homely curative remedy consisting of one ingredient only, and that of a vegetable nature. Many such a native medicine found favour and success with our single-minded forefathers, this being the “ reverent simplicity of ancienter times.” Healing by herbs has always been popular both with the classic nations of old, and with the British islanders of more recent times. Two hundred and sixty years before the date of Hippocrates (460 B.C.) the prophet Isaiah bade King Hezekiah, when sick unto death, “ take a lump of Figs, and lay it on the boil; and straightway the king recovered.” In Shakespeare’s time there was a London street, named Bucklersbury (near the present Mansion House), noted for its number of druggists who sold Simples and sweet-smelling herbs. Various British herbalists have produced works, more or less learned and voluminous, about our native medicinal plants;Out Herbal Simples are fairly entitled at last to independent promotion from the shelves of the amateur still-room, from the rustic ventures of the village grandam, and from the shallow practices of self styled botanical doctors in the back streets of our cities. About the Author -: William Thomas Fernie (1830-1897) is the author of Herbal Simples Approved for Modern Uses of Cure. He wrote 7 books. Various British herbalists have produced works about our native medicinal plants but no author has hitherto radically explained about their ultimate curative action but W. T. Fernie. About The Book : This book is a repertory of peculiar symptoms arranged in order of hierarchy. The author has studied various Materia medicas and repertories and put together 3333 keynote symptoms which act as pointers to a remedy. It would prove useful when a physician observes a PQRS symptom in a patient -- which is quite often in practice- but is unable to recall or not sure of the exact remedy. This book will help him single out the remedy and if it suits the case, can be prescribed. Also useful for students for memorising PQRS symptoms and differentiating between two similar remedies. About The Author : John Henry Clarke (1853 –1931) was an English classical homeopath. He was also, arguably, the most important anti-Semite in Great Britain. He led The Britons, an anti-Semitic organisation. Educated at the University of Edinburgh, he received his medical degree in 1877. As a physician Clarke had his own clinic in Piccadilly, London, but he also was a consultant at the London Homeopathic Hospital and did research into new homeopathic remedies. The Title 'HAEMORRHOIDS and HABITUAL CONSTIPATION written/authored/edited by JOHN H. CLARKE', published in the year 2022. The ISBN 9788121266963 is assigned to the Hardcover version of this title.
