First paperback edition, with original drawings made for first French edition by author. Translated by Margaret Crosland and Sinclair Road. Covers and spine are marked, creased and worn. Spine is partially split down middle at head. Two centimetre closed tear on front spine side, affecting early pages. One to three centimetre tears on spine foot. Page block is marked and tanned. Page edges are tanned. Minor creases and bumps throughout pages. A few pages are partially detached and bnding is exposed between a few pages but overall remains intact.
