Text in German with additional illustrations and diagrams throughout. Cloth backed printed paper boards. Generally very good with 2 exceptions contents clean with occasional edge chipping or soiling not affecting the images. Boards worn toned and stained. Volume 9 good with portion of backstrip lacking and university stamps to prelims. Volume 24 with moisture staining around edges which has caused some of the facing pages to adhere to the plates with paper remnants affecting the very edge of a couple images. <br /> <br /> 9 supplementary volumes from the oldest German journal for medical radiology Fortschritte auf dem Gebiet der Röntgenstrahlen or Advances in the field of X-rays and imaging procedures. The journal was founded in 1897 by Heinrich Albers-Schönberg one of the first radiologists in Germany and Georg Deycke a researcher in tuberculosis. These volumes were sent out to subscribers at irregular intervals to supplement the journal itself and covered various topics including practice diagnostics therapy and others. Contributors included professors radiologists and prominent doctors of the time.
