19305200Prague: A. Majital; Svaz Ceskoslovenských klubu fotografu amatéru 1930-1937. Very Good/A compact and probably unique illustrated survey of these glory years of Czech photography. While professional Czech photographers between the wars made their livings from portraits and souvenir books the amateurs pushed the limits of photography as an art. The greatest of these exhibited with the "Amateur Photography Club" and published their work in the Rozhledy Fotografa Amatera and its successor Fotographicky obzor. . 2 volumes 27 cm. Title page from 1930 issue and 630 gravure reproductions of photographs that appeared as an 8-page supplement to each monthly issue of Fotographicky Obzor for the years 1930-1937 collected and specially bound in two quarto volumes. Pagination where present is not consecutive because signatures from different numbers have been interleaved for binding purposes. Bound in half cloth over decorated paper boards. A bit thumbed but very good overall. A. Majital; Svaz Ceskoslovenských klubu fotografu amatéru, hardcover books
