L'impression en héliogravure est peut être la plus somptueuse jamais vue, les noirs étant si riches et profonds qu'après avoir manipulé le livre, on s'attend à trouver des dépôts de graphite sur ses doigts. La palette de graduation est merveilleusement subtile, décrivant une gamme apparemment infinie de tons noirs et presque noirs... Trace de pli sur la couverture, bel exemplaire tout à fait désirable.

The best-known and most iconic of the great Paris photobooks printed in a deep gravure so tactile it seems almost as if charcoal will rub off on the hands of the viewer.
