However they once provided general provisions under the brand name "Amcehat" through a mail order service and also operated several retail stories in the Mid-Atlantic area. As described in a 1908 issue of Good Housekeeping this cookbook "contains many recipes for home and hostess cookery not to be found in the average volume of the kind". Featuring recipes for meats vegetables desserts and a section titled "Forty Recipes from the Four-Hundred" referring to a list of New York's gilded age society elite. The P.R. Warren Co.
