Executed entirely in ornate Latin manuscript with elaborate calligraphic flourishes the diploma represents the golden age of Philadelphia medicine when the University of Pennsylvania stood at the forefront of medical education in the United States. In Very Good condition overall with age toning creasing wear along edges and small closed tear to bottom left corner. Only a portion of original ribbon remains missing usual seal.
